Despite an Apparent Working Capital Deficiency, Quest Patent Research Corporation Receives Yet Another Portfolio from IV

March saw Quest Patent Research Corporation (QPRC) acquire yet another portfolio from Intellectual Ventures LLC (IV), this one comprising assets developed by BAE Systems, Conexant, Cypress Semiconductor, Honeywell, Philips, MagnaChip, STMicro, or UMC, among others. Meanwhile, with multiple ongoing litigation campaigns asserting patents received from IV, including at least two in which IV holds a financial stake, QPRC—which on April 1 notified the SEC that it was unable to file its 10-K due to a “lack of resources”—appears to be running out of capital.
