Prolific Individual Inventor Accuses YouTube of Infringing Content Delivery Patent
Individual inventor Trevor Blumenau recently formed an aptly named company—Trevor Blumenau, LLC—in Texas in order to launch his second litigation campaign. Blumenau assigned a single patent (6,505,240) to the LLC on February 9, 2016, a week after it was formed, and one week after that, on February 16, the NPE sued Alphabet (Google, YouTube) for infringement through video sharing on YouTube (2:16-cv-00144). The ‘240 patent generally relates to content delivery.
