Recently formed Texas NPE Cine Graphic Solutions LLC has filed its first litigation, suing Lenovo (Motorola Mobility) (1:21-cv-01840) in the Northern District of Illinois over the Cinemagraph capture and creation tool featured in its various smartphones and apps. The plaintiff asserts three patents generally related to embedding or transmitting an animated sequence of images on top of a static base image. Cine Graphic is among several NPEs associated with a familiar patent monetization figure.
