LiTL Hits Trio of Additional Defendants Roughly One Year After Beating Alice

In May 2020, LiTL LLC sued Lenovo in the District of Delaware over six patents, five of which District Judge Richard G. Andrews has characterized as “Display Alteration Patents”, the sixth of which, as the “Remote Service Patent”. Per a January 2022 order, the plaintiff survived an early Alice challenge to all of the asserted patents, and after passing 2022 in the discovery process, making initial claim construction submissions early this past fall, those parties have stipulated to dismissal with prejudice. Now, LiTL has sued ASUSTek (1:23-cv-00122), Dell (1:23-cv-00121), and HP (1:23-cv-00120) over five of those six patents, as well as over three others new to the litigation, the cases again filed in the District of Delaware.

Lenovo’s Multimode Computing Devices Targeted in LiTL’s First Lawsuit

LiTL LLC has filed suit against Lenovo (1:20-cv-00689) over the provision of various computing devices, including its Edge, Flex, IdeaPad Yoga, ThinkPad Yoga, Winbook, and Yoga products, emphasizing their operation in multiple “modes”: “notebook mode”, “stand mode”, “tablet mode”, and “tent mode”. Six patents generally related to portable computers with multiple display configurations are asserted against Lenovo, with LiTL pleading willful infringement based on, among other things, the citation of LiTL patents on the face of patents secured by Lenovo entities.
