Angel Technologies Group LLC has sued Facebook (Instagram) (2:21-cv-08459) in a Central District of California complaint in which four image tagging patents naming Mark Frigon as the sole inventor are asserted. Targeted are features on the defendants’ platforms related to photo tagging, including tagging of existing “friends” or “followers”, adding tagged users to friend/follower lists, sharing photos with tagged users, and facial recognition.
