Yet More Former Orckit Patents Asserted Against Cisco

In an Eastern District of Texas complaint, Quicker Connections LLC accuses Cisco (2:24-cv-01074) of infringing six patents that originated with Orckit, but the plaintiff only follows up with formal accusations related to five of those six patents. Targeted is the provision of “high-speed networking platforms”, including the Cisco Network Convergence system; the Cisco ONS Multiservice Switching Platform and Cisco Catalyst Passive Optical Network; and related hardware and software products. Cisco has been sued multiple times, by various plaintiffs, over former patents from this same source.

New Delaware Plaintiff Asserts Networking Patents Developed at Orckit-Corrigent
New Patent Litigation
Corrigent Corporation has filed its first litigation, suing Arista Networks (1:22-cv-00497) and Dell (1:22-cv-00496) in the District of Delaware and Cisco (6:22-cv-00396) in the Western District of Texas. The asserted patents, each originating with Orckit-Corrigent, generally relate to various aspects of networking, including network configuration and management, optical network resilient packet rings, routing and bridging, and link aggregation. The defendants are accused of infringement through the provision of various enterprise networking products, including bridges, switches, and routers.
