OptiMorphix Files More Delaware Complaints
New Patent Litigation
Having sued Brightcove in October, OptiMorphix, Inc. filed November suits against Intel (1:24-cv-01291), NVIDIA (1:24-cv-01282), and Salesforce (MuleSoft, Slack) (1:24-cv-01278), all in the District of Delaware and each over a subset of former Citrix patents received in April 2023. Intel is accused of infringing five such patents through the provision of chipsets (e.g., GPUs and processors), computing devices, and networking hardware (e.g., adapters and controllers). NVIDIA is accused of infringing 11 of those patents through the provision of a wide array of networking products, including encoders, GPUs, graphics cards, infrastructure computing platforms, laptops, and network adapters. Finally, Salesforce is accused of infringing seven such patents through the provision of the MuleSoft Anypoint, MuleSoft Cloudhub 2.0, Salesforce, and Slack platforms. At issue are features such as adaptive bitrate management, data packet scheduling and transmission, H.265 High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) encoding, and webpage rendering.

OptiMorphix Tags Brightcove in Campaign over Former Citrix Patents

Brightcove (1:24-cv-01133) is the latest defendant to be added to the sole litigation campaign of OptiMorphix, Inc., launched in September 2023 with a suit against Alphabet (Google). In the new District of Delaware complaint, the plaintiff asserts 11 former Citrix patents broadly directed to various aspects of cache management and media playback. The defendant is accused of infringement through the provision of its various media platforms and services, with features such as adaptive bitrate management, audio-video bitrate allocation optimization, download rate management, and media coding at issue.

Campaign over Former Citrix Patents Snags a Seventh Defendant

OptiMorphix, Inc. launched its sole litigation campaign in September 2023 with a District of Delaware case against Alphabet (Google), suing now six additional defendants over the weeks since. The latest is Microsoft (5:23-cv-00150), sued in the Eastern District of Texas last month. The plaintiff asserts ten former Citrix patents broadly directed to various aspects of data transmission, file management, media streaming, and video coding, with Microsoft targeted over various Microsoft Azure products, including certain content delivery networks (CDNs), firewalls, gateways, and media streaming products.

OptiMorphix Tags Broadcom in Growing Campaign
New Patent Litigation
OptiMorphix, Inc. has filed suit against Broadcom (5:23-cv-00134), targeting a wide array of products, ranging from cybersecurity to network gateway products. Asserted in the new Eastern District of Texas complaint are five patents once held by Citrix, four of which have already appeared in this campaign and one making its debut. Broadcom joins as defendants in this campaign Alphabet (Google), Amazon, Cisco, Oracle, and VMware, the last of which Broadcom just acquired.

Number of Defendants Hit with Former Citrix Patents Jumps

OptiMorphix, Inc. has added a Delaware case against Oracle (1:23-cv-01249) to the two it filed there in weeks previous, one against each of Alphabet (Google) and VMware. The plaintiff has also opened up a new front, suing Amazon (5:23-cv-00123) and Cisco (5:23-cv-00126) in new Eastern District of Texas complaints over the same portfolio of former Citrix patents. Nearly 20 of those patents have now been asserted, in overlapping subsets, in this quickly unfolding campaign.

VMware Targeted over Former Citrix Patents
New Patent Litigation
Following its first patent litigation, filed through a District of Delaware case against Alphabet (Google) in late September, OptiMorphix, Inc. has now sued VMware (1:23-cv-01146) in the same district. The five asserted patents, developed at Citrix, are broadly directed to data transmission over a network. VMware is accused of infringement through the provision of certain NSX- and SD-WAN-series networking hardware and software products.

Former Citrix Patents Make Their Litigation Debut

OptiMorphix, Inc. has filed suit against Alphabet (Google) (1:23-cv-01065) in the District of Delaware over the provision of a wide array of products, ranging from the Google Cloud Platform to Google Search Console. Asserted are 14 from a larger portfolio of former Citrix patents, some of which currently available USPTO records indicate that OptiMorphix received in April 2023 from ByteMobile Innovations, LLC, an entity associated with a North Carolina-based patent broker and advisory firm.
