Texas Plaintiff Sues Trio of Banks over Access Management Tools
New Patent Litigation
Inventor-controlled BrowserKey, LLC has filed its first litigation with separate suits against Bank of America (2:24-cv-00798), Charles Schwab (2:24-cv-00799), and Wells Fargo (2:24-cv-00800), all in the Eastern District of Texas. The sole asserted patent generally relates to restricting data access to a server by unauthorized client machines, with the defendants accused of infringement through the provision of their respective “Web and Mobile Applications”. At issue are features related to authorizing access to the accused products through biometric authentication (e.g., Apple’s Touch and Face ID), login credentials, and session identifiers.
