DataNet, LLC has filed its first litigation, suing Dropbox (6:22-cv-01142) and Microsoft (2:22-cv-01545) over the provision of the Dropbox and OneDrive platforms, respectively, with certain cloud-based file version control tools at issue. The asserted patents generally relate to a file archival system. The plaintiff is a Nevada entity, formed there this past June identifying one of the patents’ named inventors as its sole managing member.
