Defendants Hit with Cryptographic Key Patent Returning to Litigation
New Patent Litigation
In two new suits filed by SaveItSafe, LLC, Oracle (6:20-cv-00286) and Ultra Electronics (6:20-cv-00295) have been accused of infringing a single patent broadly directed to securing electronic information in a cryptographic key management system. The defendants are accused of infringement through the provision of security products; for Oracle, over its Key Manager and Key Vault platforms; and for Ultra Electronics, over hardware security modules (HSMs), including the Keyper, Keyper Plus, and CryptoSec Banking HSMs. At issue are features for providing “transaction security, key storage, and key security”. The same inventor launched a campaign, running from June 2015 through January 2018, over the same patent through its prior owner, No Magic.
