AT&T Hit in Lemko’s Edge Computing Campaign

In a new Eastern District of Texas complaint, Lemko Corporation has accused AT&T (AT&T Mobility and other subsidiaries) (2:25-cv-00305) of infringing seven patents broadly directed to various aspects of network communications. Targeted is the provision of the AT&T Private Edge 5G Network platform, as well as the AT&T Private Mobile Connection service. Lemko began this campaign with a February 2022 suit against Microsoft (Affirmed Networks) in the Northern District of Texas—a case that has remained mired in the pleadings phase more than three years later.

Edge Computing at Issue in Litigation Brought by Lemko
New Patent Litigation
Lemko Corporation has filed suit against Microsoft (Affirmed Networks) (3:22-cv-00363) over the provision of certain edge computing software products, including the Azure Stack Edge and Virtual Evolved Packet Core (vEPC) software, as well as products that “extend” such products, including the Azure Network Function Manager, Affirmed Cloud Edge, Affirmed Virtual Probe & Analytics, and Affirmed Private Network Service (with its Manager and Network Slicing technologies). Eight homegrown wireless communications patents have been asserted in the new Northern District of Texas complaint.
