GeoVector Seeks Damages from Samsung for Alleged Infringement of Three Expired Augmented Reality Patents
GeoVector Corporation has filed a lawsuit asserting three expired patents (6,037,936; 7,301,536; 7,916,138), generally related to superimposing computer-generated data on the real world (so-called “augmented reality”), against Samsung (4:16-cv-02463). The complaints identify Samsung Galaxy smartphones, sold prior to the patents’ expiration dates, as well as tablets and other computing devices, as the accused products. GeoVector claims relief not just for patent infringement, but also for trade secret misappropriation and purported racketeering violations.
