ImmerVision Immediately Sues Apple over Newly Issued Patent
New Patent Litigation
In its fifth case against Apple (1:25-cv-00366) in Delaware, ImmerVision Inc. (f/k/a 6115187 Canada Inc.) asserts a patent—generally related to a “miniature wide-angle optical apparatus”—that issued on the day the suit was filed, March 25. This complaint again targets the incorporation of an “ultra wide lens and camera assembly” within the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, 12, 12 Mini, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, 13, 13 Mini, 14, 14 Plus, 15, and 15 Plus. Two of ImmerVision’s prior cases against Apple remain stayed to await the appeal from inter partes review (IPR) claim cancellations, a third was dismissed with prejudice, and a fourth is back active, after an IPR-related stay, well into discovery.

The iPhone 15 Targeted on Day of Its Release
New Patent Litigation
ImmerVision Inc. (f/k/a 6115187 Canada Inc.) has filed another Delaware case against Apple (1:23-cv-01012). This one alleges that the just-released suite of iPhone 15 models infringes a patent already in suit between these parties, since November 2021, by virtue of the purported inclusion of the same “ultra wide lens and camera assembly” targeted in the previously accused iPhone 11, 12, and 13 product suites (as well as in the “iPad 2021 tablet”). Dust on the pleadings in the prior case over the same patent has not settled, ImmerVision having moved to amend its complaint to allege willful infringement and Apple having moved to amend its answer to allege inequitable conduct. That case has been consolidated with two other Delaware cases that ImmerVision filed against Apple, one in October 2021 and the other in December 2021.

ImmerVision Expands Claims Against Apple in Third Complaint
New Patent Litigation
For the third month running, ImmerVision (f/k/a 6115187 Canada Inc.) has filed a District of Delaware complaint against Apple (1:21-cv-01733). The most recent pleading asserts a patent—generally related to capturing a “digital panoramic image”—already in suit against Apple, with ImmerVision shifting the set of accused products and adding two new claims: breach of a “Mutual Confidentiality Agreement” and trade secret misappropriation. Targeted is the incorporation of wide-angle lenses in certain iPhones smartphones and iPad tablets.

ImmerVision Targets Wide-Angle Lenses in Second Case Against Apple
New Patent Litigation
ImmerVision (f/k/a 6115187 Canada Inc.), an apparent developer of “advanced vision systems combining optics, image processing, and sensor fusion technology”, has kicked off a second litigation campaign, filing suit against Apple (1:21-cv-01570) in the District of Delaware. A single patent, generally related to a “miniature wide-angle optical apparatus”, is asserted, with Apple accused of infringement through the provision of certain smartphones and tablets with cameras that incorporate wide angle-lenses. The new complaint comes on the heels of ImmerVision’s late-October suit, again against Apple, where it targeted the incorporation of panoramic lenses in certain smartphones and tablets.
