Norway’s Norsync Sues Oracle in Northern District of Ohio Filing
New Patent Litigation
In a new Northern District of Ohio case, Norsync Technology AS has accused Oracle (1:20-cv-02032) of infringing a single patent entitled “Database constraint enforcer”. The complaint alleges infringement through the provision of the Oracle Fusion Middleware – Oracle Data Integrator platform, focusing on claim 4 of the patent, which the plaintiff pleads “recites a specific, plausibly inventive way of enforcing a set of constraints that governs the integrity of information stored in a database system” before citing Berkheimer and Aatrix for the proposition that “there is at least a question of fact that must survive the pleading stage as to whether these specific elements of Claim 4. . . were an unconventional arrangement of elements”.
