California LLC Converts to Texas LLC Before Launching Semantic Search Campaign in the Eastern District
Semantic Search Technologies LLC (SST) has filed separate Texas lawsuits against 17 defendants, just a few weeks after it converted from a California LLC to a Texas LLC. The complaints assert four related patents (8,793,237; 8,880,497; 9,069,860; 9,378,521), all generally concerning semantic search techniques, accusing the defendants of infringement through search customization features provided on their websites. Those defendants include Aldo, Bose, Fry’s Electronics, Nebraska Furniture Mart, Skechers, and Zillow, among others.
