Tune Hunter Takes Aim at Microsoft in a Third Suit Against Samsung
Inventor-controlled Tune Hunter Inc. has sued Samsung for a third time over the same music identification patent (6,941,275), this time adding Microsoft as a co-defendant (2:15-cv-01686). Since initiating this campaign in 2009, Tune Hunter has filed three suits against a total of 14 defendants, accusing the companies of direct, contributory, and/or induced infringement of the ‘275 patent. Defendants have included device makers, digital music providers, music identification service providers, and wireless carriers.
