Web Layout Campaign Restarted by IPNav-Controlled Execware
Execware LLC recently filed 19 new lawsuits, the first cases filed by the IPNav-controlled entity since January 2012. The case targets companies from a variety of industries, including AT&T, Macy’s, Verizon, and Yahoo, but in each case the accused product is the defendant’s website. In each case, Execware is asserting a single patent related to sorting and display of text data objects on a device (6,216,139). The patent has been asserted in several previous cases filed by Execware as well. It was developed by Execware Inc., the operating company that preceded Execware LLC. In 2011 the company retained IPNav to monetize its portfolio of patents. Most of the entity’s previous litigation has been dismissed and only three of its prior cases remain open. 2/21, District of Delaware, 1:14cv00229, 1:14cv00230, 1:14cv00231, 1:14cv00232, 1:14cv00233, 1:14cv00234, 1:14cv00235, 1:14cv00236, 1:14cv00237, 1:14cv00238, 1:14cv00239, 1:14cv00240, 1:14cv00241, 1:14cv00242, 1:14cv00243, 1:14cv00244, 1:14cv00246, 1:14cv00247
