TOT Power Control Turns to Delaware for Second Round of WCDMA Suits
New Patent Litigation
TOT Power Control, S.L. has expanded the litigation campaign that it began this past February. While those cases targeted wireless carriers, the new defendants are Apple (1:21-cv-01302), LG Electronics (LGE) (1:21-cv-01304), and Samsung (1:21-cv-01305), each sued over the same two cellular communications patents, with infringement allegations still focused on support for Wideband CDMA-based wireless networks, this time through the provision of devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets, and smart watches) that include wireless baseband processors manufactured by Intel and/or Qualcomm (and, with respect to the Samsung accused products, installed “perhaps by MediaTek”).

New Patent Litigation
TOT Power Control, S.L. has filed suit against AT&T (6:21-cv-00107), Deutsche Telekom (Sprint, T-Mobile) (6:21-cv-00108, 6:21-cv-00109, respectively), and Verizon (6:21-cv-00110) in the Western District of Texas over their respective provision of Wideband CDMA-based wireless networks.
