Acacia Subsidiary Enters Into Settlement Agreement with Amazon

March 27, 2012 – Acacia Research subsidiary, AdjustaCam, announced that it has entered into a settlement agreement with Amazon, resolving a pending patent litigation. In July 2010, AdjustCam filed suit against 40 companies, including Amazon, Dell, Eastman Kodak, HP, Systemax, and Walgreen, alleging that the defendants’ apparatuses for supporting cameras infringe a patent related to a clip that supports a portable camera either on a surface or on an edge of a housing and protects the lens of the camera when it is not being supported.

Acacia Subsidiary Enters into License Agreement
March 20, 2012 - Acacia Research announced that its subsidiary, Adjusta Cam, has entered into a license agreement with CompUSA.com, New CompUSA, Systemax, and Tiger Direct. In July 2010, Adjusta Cam filed suit against over 30 defendants including Amazon, CompUSA.com, Dell, Eastman Kodak, HP, New CompUSA, Systemax, and Tiger Direct, alleging that the defendants' apparatuses for supporting cameras infringe a patent related to a clip that supports a portable camera either on a surface or on an edge of a housing, and protects the lens of the camera when it is not being supported.
