C-Cation Campaign Continues to Target Cable Providers
C-Cation Technologies, LLC added a single suit to its campaign, but the new litigation names ten new defendants. It asserts a single patent (5,563,883) against Atlantic Broadband Group, Baja Broadband, Bright House Networks, Cablevision, Cox, Mediacom, MetroCast, RCN, Wavedivision, and Wideopenwest Finance. Defendants’ cable systems are accused of infringing the asserted patent, which relates to dynamic channel management.

C-Cation Settles with Comcast and Sues Time Warner Cable
C-Cation Technologies filed suit against Time Warner Cable shortly after conclusion of the patent holder’s 2011 suit against Comcast. Comcast was dismissed with prejudice in January. The complaint against Time Warner Cable also names three of the multiple service operator’s equipment suppliers: Arris, Casa, and Cisco. Defendants are accused of infringing a patent related to dynamic channel management (5,563,883).
