After Federal Circuit Affirms Previous Dismissal, CBS Interactive Hit a Second Time over Big Brother Audience Voting
Inventor Edwin Lyda has sued CBS Interactive (3:16-cv-06592) over two related patents (7,434,243; 7,730,506), generally concerning an input device for transmitting user responses, shortly after the Federal Circuit affirmed the dismissal of Lyda’s first, troubled suit against the company due to pleading deficiencies (2015-1923). As in that previous case (1:14-cv-06572), which also targeted the defendant’s parent company CBS, Lyda again accuses CBS Interactive of infringement through the audience voting features of its television show Big Brother.
