In the first month of 2015, the UPSTO recorded thirteen patent portfolio assignments to known NPEs. Five of those portfolios were assigned to III Holdings 2, LLC, an entity that has not filed any patent litigation to date. III Holdings recorded assignments from Packetvideo Corporation (31 patents), Electrical Systems and Networks (6 patents), Pendragon Electronics and Telecommunications Research LLC (11 patents), and Endless Spaces Ltd (one patent). It also received an exclusive license to a patent owned by Mobitrum Corporation. The assignments were recorded between January 6 and 8 of this year, but they were executed between April and December 2014.
