More Home Security and Automation Systems Accused of Infringement
Specialized Monitoring Solutions, LLC (SMS) has filed another round of cases in its sole litigation campaign, begun in January 2015. The new defendants are ADT (2:17-cv-00768), APX Group (Vivint) (2:17-cv-00769), and AT&T (2:17-cv-00770), with each accused of infringing a single, non-video surveillance patent through the provision of home security and automation systems, including ADT Pulse, Vivint Smart, and AT&T Digital Life.

Round Two Filed in Remote Monitoring Campaign
As the last defendant in the first round of its sole campaign is about to be dismissed, Specialized Monitoring Solutions, LLC (SMS) has filed another round of litigation. The new complaints assert the same patent (6,657,553), which generally relates to non-video surveillance, against five defendants: Distech Controls Energy Services (2:16-cv-00185), Eaton (2:16-cv-00186), Lutron (2:16-cv-00187), Trane (2:16-cv-00188), and Tyco (2:16-cv-00189).
