Samsung Sued by Harvard in the University’s Second Active Litigation Campaign, This Time Appearing Solo
New Patent Litigation
Harvard University, through the President and Fellows of Harvard College, has sued Samsung (2:24-cv-00636) over fabrication processes allegedly used in manufacturing semiconductor devices such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Generation 1 processor and Samsung LPDDR5X DRAM memory device, as well as devices (e.g., computers, laptops, smartphones and tablets) that incorporate the accused semiconductor devices. Asserted in the new Eastern District of Texas complaint are two patents described as generally related to “deposition of thin films that contain cobalt or tungsten metals”.
