Promotional Product Patents Asserted by Recently Formed Texas NPE Against Office Depot, Teespring
A recently formed NPE, Stonemark Technologies LLC, has asserted multiple computerized imagery and remote printing patents against Office Depot (2:16-cv-00191) in the Eastern District of Texas. Office Depot’s web-based print center, which allows customers to print customized images on promotional products, is the service accused of infringing four patents (7,050,654; 7,236,647; 7,315,659; 7,835,591). On the same day, Teespring, a company that provides custom-printed clothing, filed an action (3:16-cv-01116) in the Northern District of California, seeking declaratory judgments of non-infringement of the same four patents, as well as of a fifth, related patent (7,302,114).
