1. A method of treating an oil and/or gas well having a wellbore, comprising:

  • injecting a solution comprising an emulsion or a microemulsion into the wellbore, wherein the emulsion or the microemulsion comprises;

    a surfactant, wherein the surfactant comprises a nonionic, an anionic or a cationic surfactant, wherein the cationic surfactant comprises a quaternary ammonium salt; and

    a first solvent; and

    a silicone solvent;

    wherein the emulsion or the microemulsion comprises a surfactant, a first solvent, and a silicone solvent, wherein the silicone solvent is a volatile linear or cyclic siloxane having the chemical formula (CH3)3SiO—

    ((CH3)2SiO)n

    Si(CH3)3 or cyclic [(CH3)2SiO]m

    , wherein n is 0 to 5 and m is 4 or 5, wherein each R is the same or different and is an organic group, wherein the silicone solvent has a molecular weight of less than about 800 g/mol, wherein the surfactant comprises a nonionic, an anionic, or a cationic surfactant, wherein the cationic surfactant comprises a quaternary ammonium salt.
