Automated dynamic reprioritization of presentation materials
First Claim
1. A method, comprising:
- by a slide presentation system;
determining, responsive to detecting an indication from a user via an input device to start a slide presentation, a first selectable slide presentation priority level assigned to the slide presentation; and
selectively presenting individual slides of the slide presentation determined to comprise an assigned individual slide priority level equal to or higher than the assigned first selectable slide presentation priority level, and for each presented slide;
dynamically reprioritizing the slide presentation to present any additional content-dependent slides with assigned individual slide priority levels lower than the assigned first selectable slide presentation priority level that are determined, according to inter-slide content dependency data, to comprise a user-assigned inter-slide content dependency upon content of the presented slide; and
highlighting according to assigned content item priority levels of individual content items, on any presented slide and any presented additional content-dependent slide that comprises multi-priority content, any content item assigned with the first selectable slide presentation priority level if any other content item on the respective slide comprises a different assigned priority level.

Abstract
A first selectable slide presentation priority level assigned to a slide presentation is determined responsive to detecting an indication from a user using an input device to start the slide presentation. Individual slides of the slide presentation determined to include an assigned individual slide priority level equal to or higher than the assigned first selectable slide presentation priority level are selectively presented. For each presented slide, the slide presentation is dynamically reprioritized to present any additional content-dependent slides determined to include a user-assigned inter-slide content dependency upon content of the presented slide. On any presented slide and any presented additional content-dependent slide that includes multi-priority content, any content item assigned with the first selectable slide presentation priority level is highlighted if any other content item on the respective slide includes a different assigned priority level.

8. A system, comprising:
-
an input device; and a processor programmed to; determine, responsive to detecting an indication from a user via the input device to start a slide presentation, a first selectable slide presentation priority level assigned to a slide presentation; and selectively present individual slides of the slide presentation determined to comprise an assigned individual slide priority level equal to or higher than the assigned first selectable slide presentation priority level, and for each presented slide; dynamically reprioritize the slide presentation to present any additional content-dependent slides with assigned individual slide priority levels lower than the assigned first selectable slide presentation priority level that are determined, according to inter-slide content dependency data, to comprise a user-assigned inter-slide content dependency upon content of the presented slide; and highlight according to assigned content item priority levels of individual content items, on any presented slide and any presented additional content-dependent slide that comprises multi-priority content, any content item assigned with the first selectable slide presentation priority level if any other content item on the respective slide comprises a different assigned priority level. - View Dependent Claims (9, 10, 11, 12)

13. A system, comprising:
-
an input device; and a processor programmed to; detect, via the input device, an indication from a user of a slide presentation system to start a slide presentation; determine a slide presentation priority level assigned to the slide presentation, where the assigned slide presentation priority level comprises a first priority level of at least two selectable slide presentation priority levels associated with the slide presentation; determine which individual slides associated with the slide presentation comprise an individual slide priority level equal to or higher than the assigned slide presentation priority level; selectively present slides, via a display device, determined to comprise the individual slide priority level equal to or higher than the assigned slide presentation priority level using the individual slide priority levels assigned to the individual slides and inter-slide content dependencies assigned between the individual slides, where at least one of the at least two selectable slide presentation priority levels is associated with each slide of the slide presentation, and where the assigned inter-slide content dependencies comprise a user-designated association between content of at least one of the individual slides upon which content of at least one other of the individual slides depends regardless of individual slide priority level assignments of respective slides; determine that at least one of the slides comprises a content item associated with the first priority level of the at least two selectable slide presentation priority levels and a content item associated with a second priority level of the at least two selectable slide presentation priority levels; highlight the content item associated with the first priority level of the at least two selectable slide presentation priority levels on the at least one of the slides during presentation of the at least one of the slides; determine that at least one of the selectively presented slides with the assigned individual slide priority level equal to or higher than the first priority level shares an inter-slide content dependency with at least one other slide; and perform automated dynamic reprioritization of the slides using the inter-slide content dependencies to additionally present the at least one other slide upon which the at least one of the selectively presented slides is determined to share the inter-slide content dependency regardless of the individual slide priority level assigned to the at least one other slide.

14. A computer program product comprising a computer useable storage memory including a computer readable program, where the computer readable program when executed on a computer causes the computer to:
-
determine, responsive to detecting an indication from a user via an input device to start a slide presentation, a first selectable slide presentation priority level assigned to the slide presentation; and selectively present individual slides of the slide presentation determined to comprise an assigned individual slide priority level equal to or higher than the assigned first selectable slide presentation priority level, and for each presented slide; dynamically reprioritize the slide presentation to present any additional content-dependent slides with assigned individual slide priority levels lower than the assigned first selectable slide presentation priority level that are determined, according to inter-slide content dependency data, to comprise a user-assigned inter-slide content dependency upon content of the presented slide; and highlight according to assigned content item priority levels of individual content items, on any presented slide and any presented additional content-dependent slide that comprises multi-priority content, any content item assigned with the first selectable slide presentation priority level if any other content item on the respective slide comprises a different assigned priority level. - View Dependent Claims (15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20)
