1. A bone implant elongate along a longitudinal axis that is oriented along a longitudinal direction, the bone implant comprising:
- an implant body defining a proximal end and a distal end spaced from the proximal end along the longitudinal direction, the implant body including first and second side wire segments that are spaced from each other along a lateral direction so as to define at least one aperture extending through the implant body, the lateral direction substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, the first and second side wire segments attached to each other at least at one end of the at least one aperture, wherein at least one of the first and second side wire segments is bent so as to singly define at least one additional aperture extending through the implant body, the at least one aperture is located at one of the proximal and distal ends of the implant body, the at least one additional aperture is located at the other of the proximal and distal ends of the implant body, and a maximum dimension of the implant body measured along the longitudinal direction is greater than a maximum dimension of the implant body measured along the lateral direction.

Abstract
A bone implant that is elongate along a longitudinal axis includes an implant body including first and second side wire segments that are spaced from each other so as to define at least one apertures extending through the implant body. The at least one aperture is configured to receive a bone fixation element so as to secure the bone implant to bone.

19. A bone implant elongate along a longitudinal axis, the bone implant comprising:
-
an implant body including first and second side wire segments that define respective first and second side walls that are spaced from each other so as to define first and second apertures each configured to receive a bone fixation element so as to attach the bone implant to bone, wherein the first and second side walls extend continuously from a first end of the first aperture to a second end of the second aperture, and the first and second apertures are disposed between the first and second ends, wherein the first and second side wire segments define a first neck at one end of the first aperture and a second neck at one end of the second aperture, the first and second side wire segments abut each other at the first and second necks, the first and second side wire segments define a third neck at the other end of the first aperture, and, at the first and third necks, the first and second side wire segments both extend along a shared plane that includes a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction. - View Dependent Claims (20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25)
