Flip-to-edit container
First Claim
1. A method comprising:
- accessing hypertext markup language (HTML) data that includes a first document division (DIV) element that comprises a second DIV element, a third DIV element, and a button element;
causing presentation on a display device of a first user interface element based on the second DIV element, the first user interface element occupying a display area;
causing presentation on the display device of a button based on the button element, the button being presented within the display area;
detecting an interaction with the button; and
responsive to the detected interaction, causing, by a processor of a machine, the presentation of a flipping animation in which the first user interface element is hidden and a second user interface element based on the third DIV element is shown, the second user interface element including one or more options to modify the first user interface element and an option to restore the presentation of the first user interface element, the option to restore the presentation of the first user interface element being outside of the display area.

Abstract
A container is created that includes two sides. A front side of the container displays viewable content. A back side of the container displays editing controls corresponding to the viewable content. A button may be displayed that, when activated, switches the display between the front side and the back side. The button may be displayed only while the editing controls are displayed and hidden while the content is displayed. While the content is displayed, the entire display area may be responsive to a user input to cause display of the editing controls. Switching between the front-side element display and the back-side editing display may be accompanied by a flipping animation. Enabling the flip-to-edit container may be based on permissions of a user account.
