1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:

  • receiving, from at least an integrated location determining sensor and a heart rate sensor, athletic performance data of an athlete moving along a route, the data relating to at least one physical characteristic and at least one physiological characteristic measured during the athletic performance along the route;

    outputting for display, information relating to the athletic performance; and

    calculating a difficultly ranking of the route, expressed as a single value, based on the at least one physical characteristic, the at least one physiological characteristic, and prevailing weather information,wherein the outputting for display is configured to simultaneously display at least a portion of the athletic performance data relating to the physical characteristic and the physiological characteristic correlated to topographical information on a mapped representation of the route.
