1. An information input device comprising:

  • a plurality of scanning electrodes extending along a first direction;

    a plurality of detecting electrodes opposing the scanning electrodes and extending along a second direction crossing the first direction;

    a dielectric substance between the scanning electrodes and the detecting electrodes; and

    a plurality of slits formed within each of the detecting electrodes, the slits including a first slit, a second slit next to the first slit in the first direction, and a third slit next to the first slit in the second direction,whereinthe first, second, and third slits are identical in size and shape, and each has a first end and a second end that are separated in the second direction,for each detecting electrode, the first, second, and third slits are in a portion of the detecting electrode that overlaps the scanning electrodes, andin the second direction, the first end of the second slit is located between the first end and second end of the first slit, and the second end of the second slit is located between the first end and second end of the third slit.
