Semantically representing a target entity using a semantic object
First Claim
1. A system for Internet messaging between users that presents messages to receiving users with an interface format based on a web relationship status using a semantic messaging object, comprising:
- a network component, wherein the network component is communicatively coupled with a memory in order to manage data received by and transmitted from the system;
an identity manager coupled to the network component, wherein the identity manager manages identities of a set of users and user groups of the system and messaging relationships between the set of users and user groups wherein a messaging relationship comprises the interface format in which a first user receives messages from an author of the semantic messaging object, andan automation component coupled to the identity manager, wherein the automation component determines the interface format that specifies how the semantic messaging object is displayed over a network, the interface format being associated with a first metadata entry of the semantic object and a messaging relationship between the author and the first user; and
a router module coupled to the automation component, wherein the routing module routes the semantic messaging object over the network to the first user.

Abstract
A data construct called a semcard is a semantic (meaning-based) software object including semantic meta-tags and meta-data that describes a target object or thing. A target object can be any type of digital or physical entity or identifier, or it can be tacit knowledge, such as ideas, concepts, processes or other data existing in a user'"'"'s mind, provided that the user represents this knowledge in the semcard. A semcard embodies information about its own structure-rules, history, state, policies and goals regarding automation, display, access permissions, sharing and other operations of the semcard and any optional target object. It can also represent a semantic link between two semcards, or a semantically typed link or a standard Web hyperlink between a semcard and its referent target. A collection of semcards represents a knowledge network; single semcards, and knowledge networks, can be browsed, shared, searched, disseminated, manipulated, displayed, organized, and stored.

9. A method performed by a system having a processor and memory of Internet messaging between users that presents messages to receiving users with an interface format based on a web relationship status using a semantic messaging object, comprising,
managing data in a memory received and transmitted by the system over a network; -
managing identities of a set of users and user groups of the system and messaging relationships between the set of users and user groups wherein a messaging relationship comprises the interface format in which a first user receives messages from an author of the semantic messaging object; associating an author of the semantic messaging object with a message entry of the semantic messaging object; designating an the interface format that specifies how the semantic messaging object is displayed over a network, the interface format being associated with a first metadata entry of the semantic object and a messaging relationship between the author and the first user; and routing the semantic messaging object over the network to the first user. - View Dependent Claims (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16)

17. At least one non-transitory computer-readable medium carrying a computer program performing a method of Internet messaging between users that presents messages to receiving users with an interface format based on a web relationship status using a semantic messaging object, comprising:
-
managing data in a memory received by and transmitted from the system over a network; managing identities of a set of users and user groups of the system and messaging relationships between the set of users and user groups wherein a messaging relationship comprises the interface format in which a first user receives messages from an author of the semantic messaging object; specifying an author of the semantic object as a message entry of the semantic messaging object; designating an the interface format that specifies how the semantic messaging object is displayed over a network, the interface format being associated with a first metadata entry of the semantic object and a messaging relationship between the author and the first user; and sending the semantic object over the network to the first user. - View Dependent Claims (18)
