1. A method, in a policy control node, for determining an inactivity timer for a wireless device, the method comprising:
- identifying an indication of a need for an inactivity timer policy change during an establishment of a Packet Data Network, PDN, connection and/or dynamically while the PDN connection is intact;
determining an inactivity timer policy based on the indication and based on at least one of the group consisting of;
a user subscription of the wireless device and a current time, date and/or location of the wireless device;
an estimated traffic characteristic of a type of application utilized by the wireless device;
an estimated traffic characteristic of a device type of the wireless device; and
an allowable percentage of dropped radio access bearers and a total number of radio access bearers supported by a base station serving the wireless device; and
sending, to a mobility management node serving the wireless device, the inactivity timer policy.
