Abstract

The invention provides methods for treating various conditions using derivatives of cyclopamine having the following formula:

Claims

1. A method for treating basal cell carcinoma in a subject, the method comprising administering to the subject a composition comprising a compound having the structure:

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the compound is in the form of a pharmaceutically acceptable acid salt.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the salt is an inorganic acid salt.

4. The method of claim 2, wherein the salt is a hydrochloric acid salt.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the composition is a liquid composition.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the composition is in the form of a cream, ointment, or spray.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the composition is administered topically.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein said administering is carried out in combination with an additional cancer treatment.

9. The method of claim 8, wherein said additional cancer treatment comprises radiation, surgery, or administration of a second chemotherapeutic agent.
