1. A computer-implemented method for dynamic mapping of trip safety, the method comprising:

  • storing information identifying a plurality of hazardous road condition zones within a geographic area;

    receiving, from a telemetric device carried by a first vehicle during a trip, an identity of an operator of the first vehicle, kinematic data characterizing movement of the first vehicle, vehicle condition information characterizing a condition of the first vehicle, and a first location of the first vehicle as determined using a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver of the telemetric device, wherein the first location of the first vehicle is within the geographic area, wherein the trip is within the geographic area;

    generating a driver risk index based on at least the identity of the operator of the first vehicle and the kinematic data characterizing the movement of the first vehicle;

    generating a vehicle risk index based on at least the vehicle condition information;

    identifying a first total risk for a first region of the geographic area based on the plurality of hazardous road condition zones, the driver risk index, and the vehicle risk index;

    identifying a second total risk for a second region of the geographic area based on the plurality of hazardous road condition zones, the driver risk index, and the vehicle risk index;

    producing a virtual map of the geographic area, wherein the virtual map identifies the first total risk for the first region of the geographic area, the second total risk for the second region of the geographic area, and the first location of the first vehicle;

    calculating a trip risk for the trip based on at least the first total risk for the first region of the geographic area and the second total risk for the second region of the geographic area; and

    providing driver feedback to the telemetric device, the driver feedback based on at least the trip risk and the virtual map.
