Fixed anchor and pull mitral valve device and method
First Claim
1. A device for treating mitral valve regurgitation, comprising:
- a distal expandable anchor, a proximal expandable anchor, a fixed length connecting member extending from the proximal expandable anchor to the distal expandable anchor, a distal end, a proximal end, and an axis that extends between the distal and proximal ends and along the connecting member, wherein at least one of the proximal and distal anchors comprises first and second arm segments and has an expanded configuration, wherein in the expanded configuration the first and second arm segments extend from one of the distal and proximal ends of the device away from one another, radially outward, and axially toward the connector, and then meet one another at an anchor apex that is axially spaced from the one of the distal and proximal ends of the device, the anchor apex being disposed in an anchor portion that is spaced radially furthest away from the axis.

Abstract
Devices for treating mitral valve regurgitation, including a distal expandable anchor, a proximal expandable anchor, and a fixed length connecting member extending from the proximal expandable anchor to the distal expandable anchor, where at least one of the proximal and distal anchors includes first and second arm segments that extend from one end of the device toward the connecting member and the other anchor when in a collapsed delivery configuration, and where the at least one of the proximal and distal anchors that comprises the first and second arm segments has an expanded configuration in which the first and second arm segments extend radially outwardly such that the first and second arm segments extend away from one another toward the connector, and meet one another at a location axially spaced from the end of the device.

-
a distal expandable anchor, a proximal expandable anchor, a fixed length connecting member extending from the proximal expandable anchor to the distal expandable anchor, a distal end, a proximal end, and an axis that extends between the distal and proximal ends and along the connecting member, wherein at least one of the proximal and distal anchors comprises first and second arm segments and has an expanded configuration, wherein in the expanded configuration the first and second arm segments diverge relative to one another, then extend radially outward and axially, and then meet one another at an anchor apex that is axially spaced from where the first and second segments diverge relative to one another, the anchor apex being disposed in an anchor portion that is spaced radially furthest away from the axis. - View Dependent Claims (5, 6)
