determining at least one characteristic of the food based on the at least one sensor reading;
generating cooking instructions for the food based on the at least one characteristic;
determining a quantity of liquid to inject into a packaging of the food, wherein the liquid is controllably released during cooking;
instructing a packager to package the food based at least in part on the generated cooking instructions and the determined quantity of liquid; and
storing data that associates the cooking instructions with the food.
