1. A pad for use with an induction stove cook-top for receiving a cooking vessel located in an induction cooking zone, comprising:
- a thermally insulating portion; and
a thermally transmissive member;
wherein the thermally transmissive member is disposed in the thermally insulating portion such that an uppermost surface of the thermally transmissive member is substantially flush with an uppermost surface of the thermally insulating portion and a lowermost surface of the thermally transmissive member is substantially flush with a lower most surface of the thermally insulating portion;
wherein the lowermost surface of the thermally transmissive member and the lowermost surface of the thermally insulating portion are adapted to make contact with the cook-top.

Abstract
An induction stove assembly that utilizes pads between the cook-top of the stove and cooking vessels placed on the stove for heating. The pads are easily removable and interchangeable with other similar pads. The pads help protect the cook-top from damage, make clean-up more efficient, and insulate the cook-top from excessive heating.
