A riser section comprising a main tube element extended by a male connector element and by a female connector element comprising a first series of studs on the inner face of the female connector element, wherein a locking ring is mounted on said male connector element, the outer surface of said locking ring comprising at least a second series of studs, said riser section additionally comprising at least one auxiliary line element, characterized in that said auxiliary line element is secured to one end of said main tube element and it is connected by a sliding pivot connection to the other end of said main tube element, said sliding pivot connection allowing a relative translational motion between said main tube element and said auxiliary line element over a distance limited by a clearance adjustment means arranged on said auxiliary line element, the clearance adjustment means being configured to allow adjustment of the distance of the relative translational motion between said main tube element and said auxiliary line element.

Abstract
The present invention relates to a riser section (4) equipped with an inner locking ring (11). According to the invention, auxiliary line elements (7) are secured to one end of main tube (6) and they are mobile with respect to the other end of main tube (6) through the agency of a sliding pivot connection, whose relative translational motion is limited by a clearance adjustment means (15). The invention also relates to a riser consisting of several sections (4) and to the use of the riser for carrying out an offshore drilling operation.

a main tube element extended by a male connector element; a female connector element comprising a first series of studs on the inner face female connector element; a locking ring mounted on said male connector element, the outer surface of said locking ring comprising at least a second series of studs; at least one auxiliary line element secured to one end of said main tube element; a sliding pivot connection connecting said auxiliary line element to the other end of said main tube element, said sliding pivot connection allowing a relative translational motion between said main tube element and said auxiliary line element over a distance; and an adjustable stop arranged on said auxiliary line element, said adjustable stop being configured to allow adjustment of the distance of the relative translational motion between said main tube element and said auxiliary line element.
