Filter for swimming pool cleaner
First Claim
1. A filter for a submersible, self-propelled, robotic pool cleaner that filters debris from water in a swimming pool comprising:
- a first filter chamber, a second filter chamber and at least one partition wall, the at least one partition separating the first and second chambers and respectively defining first and second filter enclosures;
at least one non-return device placed in correspondence with the partition wall; and
wherein said filter and at least one non-return device are configured to (i) receive a first flow of water and debris from the swimming pool into the first filter chamber such that the debris is retained in the first filter chamber of the filter and filtered water is discharged back into the swimming pool during a first operation mode of the self-propelled, robotic pool cleaner, and (ii) receive a second flow of water from the swimming pool to displace the debris in the first filter chamber to the second filter chamber during a second operation mode of the self-propelled, robotic pool cleaner, the at least one non-return device being arranged such that the displaced debris cannot return from the second filter enclosure to the first filter enclosure when the self-propelled, robotic pool cleaner is operating in the first operation mode.

Abstract
A filter for a self-propelled robotic pool cleaner includes a first chamber, a second chamber and a partition wall separating the first and second chambers to define first and second filter enclosures. A non-return device is placed in correspondence with the partition wall. The filter and non-return device are configured to receive a first flow of water and debris from the swimming pool into the first chamber so the debris is retained in the first chamber and filtered water is discharged into the swimming pool during a first cleaner operation mode, and receive a second flow of water from the swimming pool to displace the debris in the first chamber to the second chamber during a second cleaner operation mode. The non-return device is arranged such that the displaced debris cannot return from the second enclosure to the first enclosure when the cleaner is operating in the first operation mode.
