1. A method, comprising:

  • at a system having a plurality of electronic devices, the system having one or more processors and memory storing instructions for execution by the one or more processors;

    collecting usage information of the plurality of electronic devices for each of a plurality of known users within a premise; and

    for each of a plurality of first users of the plurality of known users;

    identifying a usage pattern of the plurality of electronic devices based on the collected usage information for the first user;

    determining a correlation factor of the usage pattern for the first user, wherein the correlation factor includes a state of a plurality of states of the first user including an activity of the first user and a location of the first user within the premise, and the correlation factor indicates a degree to which uses of the plurality of electronic devices are correlated with the state of the first user;

    in accordance with the determination of the correlation factor of the usage pattern for the first user, generating, for the first user, an operational profile for operating the plurality of electronic devices; and

    operating the plurality of electronic devices in accordance with the operational profile for the first user.
