1. A computing device comprising:

  • an interface configured to interface and communicate with a dispersed or distributed storage network (DSN);

    memory that stores operational instructions; and

    a processing module operably coupled to the interface and to the memory, wherein the processing module, when operable within the computing device based on the operational instructions, is configured to;

    receive a first plurality of samples corresponding to a plurality of inputs that characterize configuration of the DSN;

    receive a second plurality of samples corresponding to a plurality of outputs that characterize system behavior of the DSN; and

    process the first plurality of samples and the second plurality of samples to generate a DSN model to generate predictive performance of the plurality of outputs based on various values of the plurality of inputs that characterize the configuration of the DSN.
