Abstract

An apparatus and a method manage a received mobile transaction coupon in a mobile terminal. The apparatus includes a communication unit, an information analyzer, a schedule manager, an output unit, and a controller. The communication unit receives a mobile transaction coupon. The information analyzer obtains the received mobile transaction coupon information. The schedule manager registers the obtained mobile transaction coupon information in an alarm program. The output unit outputs the registered mobile transaction coupon information on a relevant date via the alarm program. The controller controls to register the mobile transaction coupon information in the alarm program, and controls to store the received mobile transaction coupon in a storage area corresponding to a reception type or a folder for a widget function.

Claims

1. A mobile terminal configured to manage a mobile transaction coupon, the mobile terminal comprising:

a display unit;

a communication unit configured to receive a mobile transaction coupon including at least one of text information or code information provided from another terminal;

a memory unit configured to store at least one mobile transaction coupon received from another terminal; and

a controller electronically coupled to the display unit, the communication unit and the memory unit;

wherein the controller is configured to, in response to reception of the mobile transaction coupon at the mobile terminal;

obtain information, via the communication unit, on the received mobile transaction coupon by analyzing the at least one of text information or code information included in the received mobile transaction coupon,

identify a type and a use period of the received mobile transaction coupon based on the obtained information,

store, in the memory unit of the mobile terminal, the received mobile transaction coupon as a group corresponding to the identified type, and

control the display unit to display, based on the identified use period of the stored mobile transaction coupon, the at least one mobile transaction coupon stored in the memory unit, and

wherein the controller is further configured to;

identify a reception type of the received mobile transaction coupon as one of a plurality of reception types including a reception type using an e-mail, a reception type using a message, and a reception type using a messenger,

in response to detecting that a storage area corresponding to the identified reception type of the received mobile transaction coupon is non-existent, generate the storage area corresponding to the identified reception type of the received mobile transaction coupon, and

store at least part of the information on the received mobile transaction coupon in the storage area corresponding to the identified reception type of the received mobile transaction coupon, wherein the storage area includes at least one sub storage area according to the information on the received mobile transaction coupon.

2. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the information about the mobile transaction coupon comprises at least one of a type, a use period, an amount of the mobile transaction coupon, and cautions for use.

3. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the code information comprises at least one of a Quick Response (QR) code and a bar code.

4. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the mobile transaction coupon comprises at least one of a gift certificate, an electronic ticket, and a product discount coupon that was one of purchased via a payment procedure and received via a promotion event.

5. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to sort and output the information regarding the mobile transaction coupon stored in advance.

6. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to sort the mobile transaction coupon stored in advance using a widget function.

7. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to provide a menu for retrieving the mobile transaction coupon according to the type of the mobile transaction coupon, an amount of the mobile transaction coupon, and a deadline of the mobile transaction coupon.

8. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to analyze the text information of the received mobile transaction coupon using a text recognition application.

9. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to analyze the code information of the received mobile transaction coupon using a camera module for detecting the code information.

19. The mobile terminal of claim 1, further comprising a schedule manager configured to register the mobile transaction coupon in an alarm program.

20. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the mobile transaction coupon is received in one of an Electronic (E)-mail message, a Short Message Service (SMS) message, a Multimedia Message Service (MMS) message and Instant Message Service (IMS) message.

10. A method for managing a mobile transaction coupon in a mobile terminal, the method comprising:

receiving, by the mobile terminal, a mobile transaction coupon including at least one of text information or code information from another terminal;

in response to receiving the mobile transaction coupon at the mobile terminal;

obtaining, by the mobile terminal, information on the mobile transaction coupon by analyzing the at least one of text information or code information included in the received mobile transaction coupon,

identifying, by processing circuitry in the mobile terminal, a type and a use period of the received mobile transaction coupon based on the obtained information,

storing, by processing circuitry in the mobile terminal, the received mobile transaction coupon as a group corresponding to the identified type among a plurality of groups, wherein the processing circuitry stores the received mobile transaction coupon in a memory unit included in the mobile terminal, and

displaying, based on the identified use period of the stored mobile transaction coupon, the mobile transaction coupon stored in the memory unit,

identifying a reception type of the received mobile transaction coupon as one of a plurality of reception types including a reception type using an e-mail, a reception type using a message, and a reception type using a messenger;

in response to detecting that a storage area corresponding to the identified reception type of the received mobile transaction coupon is non-existent, generating the storage area corresponding to the identified reception type of the received mobile transaction coupon; and

storing at least part of the information on the received mobile transaction coupon in the storage area corresponding to the identified reception type of the received mobile transaction coupon, wherein the storage area includes at least one sub storage area according to the information on the received mobile transaction coupon.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein information on the mobile transaction coupon comprises at least one of a type, a use period, an amount of the mobile transaction coupon, and cautions for use.

12. The method of claim 10, wherein the code information comprises at least one of a Quick Response (QR) code and a bar code.

13. The method of claim 10, wherein the mobile transaction coupon comprises at least one of a gift certificate, an electronic ticket, a product discount coupon that was one of purchased via a payment procedure and received via a promotion event.

14. The method of claim 10 further comprising:

sorting and outputting the mobile transaction coupon stored in advance.

15. The method of claim 10 further comprising:

sorting the mobile transaction coupon stored in advance using a widget function.

16. The method of claim 10 further comprising:

providing a menu for retrieving the stored mobile transaction coupon according to the type of the mobile transaction coupon, an amount of the mobile transaction coupon, and a deadline of the mobile transaction coupon.

17. The method of claim 10, wherein obtaining the information about the mobile transaction coupon comprises:

analyzing the text information of the received mobile transaction coupon to obtain the information about the mobile transaction coupon using a text recognition application.

18. The method of claim 10, wherein obtaining the information about the mobile transaction coupon comprises:

analyzing the code information of the received mobile transaction coupon to obtain the information about the mobile transaction coupon using a camera module for detecting the code information.

21. The method of claim 10, further comprising registering the mobile transaction coupon in an alarm program.

22. The method of claim 10, further comprising storing the mobile transaction coupon of the same characteristic as the group after or before the step of displaying.

23. The method of claim 10, wherein the mobile transaction coupon is received in one of an Electronic (E)-mail message, a Short Message Service (SMS) message, a Multimedia Message Service (MMS) message and Instant Message Service (IMS) message.
