1. A method of wireless communication at a user equipment, comprising:

  • receiving a configuration of at least a first resource set and a second resource set for an enhanced physical downlink control channel (EPDCCH), wherein the first and second resource sets are configured with a common channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS) configuration;

    receiving resource set dependent rate matching parameters for the EPDCCH having the common CSI-RS configuration, the resource set dependent rate matching parameters including first rate-matching parameters configured for the first resource set and second rate-matching parameters configured for the second resource set, the first rate-matching parameters being different from the second rate-matching parameters; and

    receiving the EPDCCH based on the first resource set and the second resource set,wherein the first rate-matching parameters correspond to a first CSI-RS comprised in the common CSI-RS configuration, wherein EPDCCH resource elements (REs) in the first resource set are rate-matched around the first CSI-RS, andwherein the second rate-matching parameters correspond to a second CSI-RS comprised in the common CSI-RS configuration, wherein EPDCCH REs in the second resource set are rate-matched around the second CSI-RS.
