1. A device for generating droplets, comprising:

  • a body injection-molded as a single piece and including a bottom surface and a plurality of protrusions located opposite the bottom surface, each protrusion including an annular wall that tapers in thickness in a direction away from the bottom surface, a channel network being formed in the bottom surface and including a first channel, a second channel, and a third channel each arranged parallel to the bottom surface and meeting one another in a droplet-generation region;

    a plurality of wells including a carrier well configured to supply carrier fluid to the droplet-generation region via the first channel, a sample well configured to supply sample-containing fluid to the droplet-generation region via the second channel, and a droplet well configured to receive sample-containing droplets in carrier fluid from the third channel, wherein each well of the plurality of wells has an upper portion created by one of the protrusions; and

    a sealing member attached to the bottom surface of the body in a fluid-tight seal, and providing a bottom wall for each channel.
