1. A method of utilizing a bipolar probe between a vertebral body and a tumor located at least partially within the vertebral body, the method comprising:

  • delivering energy to nervous tissue near the tumor using the bipolar probe, the bipolar probe having an active tip including at least two electrodes, the at least two electrodes including at least a tubular outer electrode defining a first lumen having a longitudinal axis and a tubular inner electrode defining a second lumen having a longitudinal axis extending coaxially with the longitudinal axis of the first lumen along at least a portion of the outer electrode; and

    cooling the outer electrode and the inner electrode by flowing a coolant within the second lumen of the inner electrode when the energy is being delivered to the nervous tissue to limit charring of tissue surrounding the surface of the at least two electrodes.
