1. A method of content delivery, comprising:
- detecting with sound wave detection at a content delivery device an acoustic signal received asynchronously and independently from any active user interface context of the content delivery device, the acoustic signal transmitted intentionally inaudible to a human by a sending data processing system for receipt by any of a plurality of content delivery devices in a sound wave vicinity of the sending data processing system;
supplying to a search an indication of receipt of the acoustic signal received asynchronously and independently from any active user interface context of the content delivery device, the search searching for content to be presented to a user of the content delivery device; and
responding to the indication of receipt of the acoustic signal received asynchronously and independently from any active user interface context of the content delivery device by providing the content for presentation to the user of the content delivery device.

Abstract
Mobile data processing Systems (MSs) interact with systems in their vicinity, and with each other, in communications and interoperability. Data is communicated using sound waves to carry out novel Location Based eXchanges (LBX) of data for new mobile applications. Information which is transmitted inbound to, transmitted outbound from, or is in process at, a mobile data processing system, is used to trigger processing of actions in accordance with configurations, for example to present content to a user.

20. A content delivery device, comprising:
-
one or more processors; and memory coupled to the one or more processors and storing instructions, wherein the one or more processors, based on the instructions, perform operations comprising; detecting with sound wave detection at a content delivery device an acoustic signal received asynchronously and independently from any active user interface context of the content delivery device, the acoustic signal transmitted intentionally inaudible to a human by a sending data processing system for receipt by any of a plurality of content delivery devices in a sound wave vicinity of the sending data processing system; supplying to a search an indication of receipt of the acoustic signal received asynchronously and independently from any active user interface context of the content delivery device, the search searching for content to be presented to a user of the content delivery device; and responding to the indication of receipt of the acoustic signal received asynchronously and independently from any active user interface context of the content delivery device by providing the content for presentation to the user of the content delivery device.
