Abstract

A display control device includes: an obtaining unit that obtains a stacking image formed by stacking plural specific images for specifying respective contents of images recorded on at least one surface of each of plural recording media; and a controller that exerts control so that a process is displayed on a display screen, the process sequentially performing an operation to select one specific image from the plural specific images in the stacking image obtained by the obtaining unit and to change the one specific image to represent a state in which at least a part of a recording medium corresponding to the one specific image is turned, to thereby show at least a part of another specific image hidden behind the one specific image while changing one specific image to be selected.

Claims

1. A document display device comprising:

a generator that generates a plurality of page images of a print job, each of the plurality of page images being an image of a double-page spread of a saddle-stitched document being laid out on an image of a recording medium; and

a display that displays the plurality of page images,

wherein the display displays the plurality of page images so that one page image of the plurality of page images is changed to represent a state in which at least a part of the one page image is turned and thus at least a part of another page image hidden behind the one page image is shown,

wherein the display visibly displays an image of a part of staples placed at a substantially center part of the image of the recording medium when any pages are opened and the image of the recoding medium is turned around a position of the saddle-stitching, the pages being turned at the substantially center part of the image of the recording medium, and

wherein, after the plurality of page images are physically printed out as the saddle-stitched document, a physical part of the staples corresponding to the image of the part of the staples is visible when a first page, a center page, or a last page of the saddle-stitched document is visible.

2. The document display device according to claim 1, wherein, after the plurality of page images are physically printed out as the saddle-stitched document, the physical part of the staples corresponding to the image of the part of the staples is visible when the first page, the center page, or the last page of the saddle-stitched document is visible, and hidden when the recording medium is turned around a position of saddle-stitching in the saddle-stitched document that is physically printed out.

3. A document display device comprising:

a generator that generates a plurality of page images of a print job, each of the plurality of page images being an image of a double-page spread of a saddle-stitched document being laid out on an image of a recording medium; and

a display that displays the plurality of page images,

wherein the display displays the plurality of page images so that one page image of the plurality of page images is changed to represent a state in which at least a part of the one page image is turned and thus at least a part of another page image hidden behind the one page image is shown,

wherein the display visibly displays an image of a part of staples placed at a substantially center part of the image of the recording medium when any pages are opened, the pages being turned at the substantially center part of the image of the recording medium,

wherein, after the plurality of page images are physically printed out as the saddle-stitched document, a physical part of the staples corresponding to the image of the part of the staples is visible when a first page, a center page, or a last page of the saddle-stitched document is visible, and

wherein the display displays an animation of a process of combining the plurality of page images into the saddle-stitched document.

4. A display control method comprising:

generating a plurality of page images of a print job, each of the plurality of page images being an image of a double-page spread of a saddle-stitched document being laid out on an image of a recording medium; and

displaying the plurality of page images,

wherein the displaying displays the plurality of page images so that one page image of the plurality of page images is changed to represent a state in which at least a part of the one page image is turned and thus at least a part of another page image hidden behind the one page image is shown,

wherein the displaying visibly displays an image of a part of staples placed at a substantially center part of the image of the recording medium when any pages are opened and the image of the recoding medium is turned around a position of the saddle-stitching, the pages being turned at the substantially center part of the image of the recording medium, and

wherein, after the plurality of page images are physically printed out as the saddle-stitched document, a physical part of the staples corresponding to the image of the part of the staples is visible when a first page, a center page, or a last page of the saddle-stitched document is visible.

The display control method according to claim 4, wherein, after the plurality of page images are physically printed out as the saddle-stitched document, the physical part of the staples corresponding to the image of the part of the staples is visible when the first page, the center page, or the last page of the saddle-stitched document is visible, and hidden when the recording medium is turned around a position of saddle-stitching in the saddle-stitched document that is physically printed out.

6. A display control method comprising:

generating a plurality of page images of a print job, each of the plurality of page images being an image of a double-page spread of a saddle-stitched document being laid out on an image of a recording medium; and

displaying the plurality of page images,

wherein the displaying displays the plurality of page images so that one page image of the plurality of page images is changed to represent a state in which at least a part of the one page image is turned and thus at least a part of another page image hidden behind the one page image is shown,

wherein the displaying visibly displays an image of a part of staples placed at a substantially center part of the image of the recording medium when any pages are opened, the pages being turned at the substantially center part of the image of the recording medium,

wherein, after the plurality of page images are printed out as the saddle-stitched document, a physical part of the staples corresponding to the image of the part of the staples is visible when a first page, a center page, or a last page of the saddle-stitched document is visible, and

wherein the displaying displays an animation of a process of combining the plurality of page images into the saddle-stitched document.
