a. selecting by direct user manipulation of one or more user interface elements on the remote access device a device configuration profile from a plurality of device configuration profiles preloaded onto the RF remote access device, the device configuration profile comprising a plurality of vendor specific properties including two or more of;
transmit and/or receive frequencies, modulation schemes, binary encoding algorithms, data encoding techniques, packet payload templates, and algorithms configured to generate rolling codes to replicate the function of an original equipment manufacturer (“
OEM”
) keyless entry remote device;
b. storing in a memory of the remote access device the selected device configuration profile, the storing being based on user manipulation of the one or more user interface elements; and
c. automatically configuring the remote access device based on a processor of the remote access device accessing from the memory the stored selected device configuration profile, whereby the remote access device is configured to;
i. generate an RF signal based on the selected device configuration profile; and
ii. transmit the RF signal to an end device associated with the selected device configuration profile to cause the end device to perform a predefined operation.

) remote access device, the remote access device comprising;a processor; a set of user interface elements adapted for user manipulation for selecting a device configuration profile; a transmitter; and a memory comprising a program memory and a set of vendor partitions, the set of vendor partitions having stored therein a plurality of device configuration profiles preloaded onto the RF remote access device, and the program memory adapted to store a user selected device configuration profile selected based on user manipulation of the set of user interface elements; wherein the device configuration profile comprises a plurality of vendor specific properties including two or more of; transmit and/or receive frequencies, modulation schemes, binary encoding algorithms, data encoding techniques, packet payload templates, and algorithms configured to generate rolling codes to replicate the function of whereby; i. the processor is adapted to receive an input of a vendor code from the set of user interface elements, the input representing a selected device configuration profile from the plurality of device configuration profiles; ii. the processor is adapted to load the selected device configuration profile from the vendor partition into the program memory; iii. the processor is adapted to automatically configure the RF remote access device by accessing the selected device configuration profile loaded into the program memory; iv. the processor further adapted to generate a payload comprising a generated key sequence based on applying an algorithm to the plurality of vendor specific properties from the selected device configuration profile; and v. the transmitter is adapted to transmit an RF signal comprising the payload to an end device associated with the selected device configuration profile to cause the end device to perform a predefined operation. - View Dependent Claims (18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36)
