1. A method of analyte sensor calibration, comprising:
- receiving analyte signals from a first analyte sensor positioned in fluid contact with bodily fluid under a skin surface during a first time period;
receiving analyte signals from a second analyte sensor positioned in fluid contact with bodily fluid under a skin surface during a second time period;
defining an overlap time period beginning with the positioning of the second analyte sensor and ending with the removal of the first analyte sensor from fluid contact with the bodily fluid;
determining that the second analyte sensor meets an acceptable stability level during the overlap time period; and
transferring a calibration parameter associated with calibration of the first analyte sensor to calibration of the second analyte sensor, wherein the calibration parameter includes a scaling factor associated with the analyte signals from the first and second analyte sensors, and wherein the scaling factor is determined by performing an autocorrelation function.
